Exciting Update from Vranje!
The final tile has been laid, and the last installation is complete! The shelter for victims of domestic violence in Vranje is renovated, offering more comfortable environment for its residents.
Our project team recently visited the site to monitor progress and ensure everything is on track. We’re thrilled to share that the transformation is incredible. See the before photos of the shelter and witness the remarkable change!
This initiative made possible by €23,000 donation from German Federal Foreign Office, with an additional €6,000 from the City of Vranje, has completely revamped the bathroom, floors, and walls. And the impact extends beyond Vranje: remaining funds were used to equip the shelter in Vranjska Banja with essential kitchen appliances, furniture, and electronics.
Our mission is simple: to provide a safe, comfortable space for victims of domestic violence, mainly mothers and children seeking refuge, ensuring they feel supported in their most difficult times.
This renovation is part of the larger “United Against Domestic Violence in the Western Balkans” project, which supports 11 shelters across the region. Funded by the German Federal Foreign Office @auswaertigesamt and implemented by ASB South East Europe @asb_see in partnership with local governments.
