About ASB SEE

Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund in Southeast Europe started with first operation in besieged city of Mostar, in Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the war year of 1992.

Over the past 33 years ASB SEE has successfully implemented over 400 humanitarian and developmental projects totaling around 200 million Euros.

ASB has assisted more than 250 000 people in 7 countries (Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia, Kosovo, North Macedonia, Montenegro and Albania). With the help of ASB SEE, nearly 16 000 private homes, public institutions and hospitals have been reconstructed or constructed from the beginning in more than 250 municipalities in Southeast Europe. During the refugee crisis, through project implementation, 20 000 people were sheltered in two refugee centers constructed and equipped by ASB, while food, hygiene and clothes were distributed to more than 60 000 refugees.

The recognition of the efforts ASB is investing and its consequent impact in the Balkan region is confirmed by any doubt by a large spectrum of donors, vesting their significant funds to ASB for implementation of numerous projects in the last 30 years. Among them are: European Union Structures and international organizations (EC, ECHO, EAR, UNCHR, UNDP, UNFPA, WHO), bilateral international donors (Governments of Germany, USA, Netherlands, Belgium, Austria, Sweden and Norway), bilateral regional donors (Governments of Croatia, BiH, Serbia and Kosovo), private donors and ASB itself.

ASB HAS PROVIDED ASSISTANCE TO PEOPLE IN NEED IN MORE THAN 250 MUNICIPALITIES IN SOUTHEAST EUROPE.
