Every year on 19 August, we mark World Humanitarian Day and honour humanitarian workers and volunteers who stand with people in the most difficult circumstances — often under extraordinary pressure and at personal risk.
Today, as humanitarian needs continue to grow around the world, protecting humanity means protecting every person’s right to dignity, assistance and hope.
At ASB South East Europe, humanity is not something we take for granted. It is something we put into action every day. Through our teams, partners and volunteers, through support to vulnerable people and communities, and through our response in times of crisis, we work to ensure that no one is left without support when it is needed most.
Humanitarian workers must be able to carry out their work safely. International humanitarian law must be respected.

Humanity is a shared responsibility.
Those who help others in their most difficult moments must be protected.

📈 Turning ideas into opportunities!

As part of the project “𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐯𝐢𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐒𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐭𝐨 𝐈𝐃𝐏𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐧 𝐩𝐫𝐨𝐜𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐋𝐞𝐬𝐤𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐜”, 54 beneficiaries successfully completed business trainings focused on developing business ideas, entrepreneurship, and economic empowerment.
Through interactive sessions, participants gained practical knowledge in:

✅ business planning
✅ financial management
✅ marketing and communication
✅ entrepreneurship development
✅ identifying sustainable income opportunities

The trainings will provide mentoring support and helped beneficiaries strengthen their confidence and skills for future employment and self-employment opportunities.
