ASB South East Europe, as a partner within the regional EMPOWERED initiative, is pleased to support the Empowered WB Skopje 𝐓𝐫𝐢𝐥𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐚𝐥 𝐂𝐨𝐧𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐨𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐈𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐨𝐟 𝐏𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐃𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐢𝐧 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐖𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧 𝐁𝐚𝐥𝐤𝐚𝐧𝐬, taking place on 4 February 2026 at the Holiday Inn Skopje.
Organized by CDI Macedonia - ИРЗ Македонија, PREDA Plus Foundation, and ADRF – Albanian Disability Rights Foundation, the conference builds on a series of regional knowledge-sharing activities initiated at the regional EMPOWERED conference in May 2025 and continued through the trilateral meeting held in Sarajevo later that year.
The event will bring together decision-makers, representatives of relevant ministries, organizations of persons with disabilities, experts, and private-sector stakeholders to exchange perspectives and strengthen regional cooperation. Two thematic sessions will focus on 𝐫𝐞𝐠𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐜𝐨𝐥𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐚𝐝𝐯𝐨𝐜𝐚𝐜𝐲 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐬𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐢𝐜 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞, 𝐚𝐬 𝐰𝐞𝐥𝐥 𝐚𝐬 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐞𝐬 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐬𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐨𝐫𝐭 𝐦𝐞𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐦𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐞𝐦𝐩𝐥𝐨𝐲𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐬𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐚𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬, 𝐰𝐢𝐭𝐡 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐚𝐢𝐦 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐝𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐢𝐟𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐜𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐩𝐬 𝐭𝐨𝐰𝐚𝐫𝐝 𝐩𝐨𝐥𝐢𝐜𝐲 𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐨𝐧𝐢𝐳𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧, 𝐞𝐱𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞 𝐨𝐟 𝐠𝐨𝐨𝐝 𝐩𝐫𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐜𝐞𝐬, 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐝𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐥𝐨𝐩𝐦𝐞𝐧𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐢𝐧𝐧𝐨𝐯𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐬𝐨𝐥𝐮𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 𝐟𝐨𝐫 𝐚 𝐦𝐨𝐫𝐞 𝐢𝐧𝐜𝐥𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐯𝐞 𝐥𝐚𝐛𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐦𝐚𝐫𝐤𝐞𝐭.
A particular emphasis will be placed on empowering the meaningful participation of persons with disabilities in policymaking processes, strengthening regional advocacy networks, and improving sustainable support mechanisms that contribute to long-term inclusion across the Western Balkans.
