Beneficiary visits and equipment delivery: Supporting sustainable businesses and a more secure future in Leskovac
ASB representatives visited project beneficiaries in Leskovac and the surrounding regions today and attended the delivery of equipment that will support the further development of their business activities.
This activity marks an important step in the economic empowerment process of beneficiaries who previously completed business training programmes and developed business plans for the growth of their enterprises. Through project grants, equipment tailored to the specific needs of each beneficiary was provided with the aim of improving the quality of services and products they offer, increasing productivity, and creating more stable sources of income for them and their families.
During the visits, beneficiaries had the opportunity to present their business ideas, achievements to date, and plans for the future. Discussions focused on the challenges they face in their daily work, as well as opportunities for further business development and improvement. It is particularly encouraging that many beneficiaries already recognize the tangible benefits of the support received through the project and are planning to further expand their activities.
The delivery of equipment is more than material support – it is an investment in beneficiaries’ independence, dignity, and long-term economic stability. Through measures such as these, beneficiaries are provided with opportunities to establish sustainable sources of income, strengthen their entrepreneurial capacities, and increase their participation in the economic and social life of their local communities.
The project “Support to Internally Displaced Persons and Returnees in the Return Process in Leskovac” is implemented by ASB in partnership with the City of Leskovac, with financial support from the European Union. Throughout the 17 months of project implementation, a range of activities aimed at improving the socio-economic situation of beneficiaries has been carried out, including business training, mentoring, employment support, and grants for starting and developing businesses.
Today’s visits once again demonstrated the importance of providing practical and tailored support to people who are committed to building a more secure future for themselves and their families through their own work. Every machine, tool, or piece of equipment delivered today represents a new opportunity for growth, greater independence, and another step towards sustainable economic empowerment.
ASB will continue to monitor beneficiaries’ progress and provide support for their further development, believing that knowledge, work, and opportunities for economic empowerment are key elements of successful integration and the long-term stability of local communities.
