Conference “Initiative for social dimension of EU integrations (SDI)”, will gather for the first time all seven Ministers in charge of the social policy from the region, takes place on Tuesday, 6. November 2018. at in Palace of Serbia.
The conference is organized by the German non-governmental organisation, Arbeiter-Samariter-Bund Deutschland e.V (ASB) in cooperation with a distinguished group of the members of the European Parliament (MEPs), and Ministry of labor, employment, veterans and social affairs of the Republic of Serbia. The SDI is launched in strong belief that the success of EU integration of the WB, and indeed the public support for the process, depend on the level of change it introduces in terms of the quality of life for the citizens, greater social progress and prosperity.
The Conference will gather, amongst others, regional civil society and media as well as representatives of the EU institutions and corps diplomatique. The event aims to enhance the dialogue between all actors on the necessity of the social dimension of the EU integration for WB countries. On this occasion the Declaration on Improving Social Policy in the Western Balkans will be signed and meaningful dialogue initiated furthering improvement of social and employment policies and measures.
