We are happy to inform you that we have successfully completed the very important reconstruction of the shelter for victims of domestic violence in Modrica! Yesterday our team officially handed over the building to the Director of the Association Buducnost, in the presence of the Director of the company Rakic-Grozdanic, which oversaw reconstruction.
The reconstruction was carried out as part of the Project “United Against Domestic Violence in the Western Balkans – Regional Cooperation and Support to Shelters for Victims of Domestic Violence”, financed by the German Federal Foreign Office, and implemented by ASB SEE, the main office from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The total value of completed works was 29.000 euros, 24.000 donated by the German Federal Foreign Office and 5.000 secured by the Association from Modrica.
The works included hydro and thermal insulation of the existing building, installation of facade and interior carpentry, screeding, ceramics and the floors, installation of internal and external water and sewage system and connection to the city water network, as well as installation of electrical wiring throughout the building.
The significance and value of the mentioned construction works is rather obvious, as it will ensure a significant increase in accommodation space for victims of domestic violence in the oldest and one of the largest shelters in Republika Srpska.
We are proud of our cooperation with the partner on the project, as well as the company behind all the construction works, ensuring the successful completion of project activities in Modrica.

The project “United Against Domestic Violence in the Western Balkans – Regional Cooperation and Support to Shelters for Victims of Domestic Violence” supports 11 shelters for the victims of domestic violence in the West Balkan region.
