The project specific objectives are:

• Support to Serbia State efforts in the struggle against COVID-19
• To protect or prevent the spread of Covid-19 at the local level, primarily in the institution for homeless elderly in the City of Belgrade, being the only institution working with most at risk population during COVID-19 crisis
• To strengthen capacities of outreach workers and medical doctors’ or other healthcare workers involved to enhance the quality and sensitivity of services in the field to meet the needs in overcoming vaccine hesitancy in selected populations
• Empower selected population on order to receive information and advice that would help overcome barriers and subsequently decide to get vaccinated leading to improving health literacy and health overall
• To improve access to healthcare services through outreach response and community engagement
• To fight misperceptions about the impacts of vaccination on the health beyond direct outreach work 

Results:

•           At least 2,400 people reached with outreach work and awareness campaign and informed about COVID-19 vaccination options and other protective measures in municipalities Ub, Žagubica and Ćićevac

•           At least 30% of reached participants applied for vaccination or will be vaccinated with the first, second or a third dose with the assistance of outreach workers

•           The donation to the Shelter for Homeless and Elderly in Belgrade (Gloves 5000 pcs, Asepsol with a spray – 400L, Desocide – Active chlorine for disinfection – 100L, Roller for disinfection and ironing of clothes – 1 pc, )Vertical freezer – 1 item
