Direct beneficiaries:

Youth, women and socially deprived individuals seeking employment in order to improve their living standard. Therefore, direct beneficiaries of this Project are 222 persons / businesses, 5 Business Support Organizations (BSOs) and 5 communities.

“Socio – Project 2”, is an initiative funded by Engagement Global, on behalf of German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development – BMZ and is being implemented by Foundation for Sustainable Economic Development – PREDA Plus Kosovo in partnership WEntrepreneur Kosovo and with the support of Arbeiter Samariter Bund – ASB in Kosovo.

Overall Objective: To contribute to sustainable economic growth in Kosovo.
Project Objective: Ethnic minority and majority families take advantage of opportunities to participate and generate a family income in eleven municipalities of Kosovo (Municipality Istog, Prizren, Mitrovice, Lipjan, Shterpce, Gracanica, Vushtrri, Hani i Elezit, Kamenice, Mamushe, Rahovec and Gjakove).

Sub-objectives (Outputs):

  1. The capacities of micro-entrepreneurs from the previous project phase (Socio-Project 1) and business associations have been strengthened.
  2. The capacities of young people and women of different ethnicities have been strengthened in the field of setting up small businesses.
  3. Local stakeholders are aware of the challenges and potential solutions in the field of setting up social enterprises in Kosovo
  4. Local decision makers, Local administrations and civil society actors work together on community development initiatives.
