Overall Objective

To contribute to the promotion and protection of human rights of migrants, including asylum seekers and asylum seekers in the third countries, passing through Macedonia and Serbia.  

Operation Purpose

1: to empower local CSOs aiding the migrants through networking and capacity building

2: to create a more enabling environment for eradication and prevention of the migrants’ human rights violations through advocacy of policies ensuring migrants’ human rights protection, and through awareness-raising

Results:

1. Created Network and work plan, as well as quick response mechanism.

2. Network partnerships built and maintained, dialogue established, 200 meetings

3. Capacities of 20 CSOs are built: to spot, record and report on the violations, to provide basic administrative, legal and logistic support to migrants whose human rights have been violated, and to use the quick response mechanism

4. Operations of 20 CSOs facilitated via financial support provided during the course of action

5. Sustainability contributed to through “crash-course” module

6. Database of migrants’ human rights’ violations (from departure) is set and maintained

7. 2-year research-based policy pares, country-specific, are produced, disseminated and advocated for

8. Awareness-raising campaign (digital and traditional media + out-of-home advertising), is conducted for over 22 months, by a communications professional

9. Total of 20 roundtables are held – 7 in Serbia, 3 in Macedonia (final in capitals), each year, to present Policy recommendations to stakeholders
