Implemented
As a result of a successful cooperation between German Foreign Ministry and ASB South East Europe, socio-economic assistance to the most vulnerable in Serbia continued in 2021.
Within this effective project “Socio-economic assistance to extremely vulnerable families and local social service providers in 7 project municipalities of Serbia” in 2021, ASB directly assisted 82 vulnerable families from the Register of respective Social Welfare Centers in Serbia, through provision of agricultural, grant-based economic packages (agro training + greenhouses) for income substitution.
Project is funded by German Foreign Ministry together with local municipalities and ASB with total amount of 157,000 EUR in period of nine months.
Project goal was to support economically disadvantaged families in rural areas of Serbia, in Municipalities of Lučani, Arilje, Šid, Dimitrovgrad, Vladičin Han and City of Krusevac and Leskovac, by providing them with agricultural grants in form of greenhouse units and accompanying equipment for agricultural income-generating activities.
All beneficiaries had received the training on “Basics of agricultural production” by agricultural faculty professor.
The project was roughly divided into 3 phases:
• Preliminary needs assessment and selection of beneficiaries
• Contract signing and theoretical trainings
• Implementation – delivery of greenhouses and trainings at the field
