More about the project

Overall objective: to increase social inclusion of the women and men, girls and boys in Pirot who are experiencing poverty and social exclusion, enabling them to live dignified life and actively participate in the society. 

Specific objective: to enable better living conditions for the most vulnerable youth exiting social care and Roma population by provision of housing solutions accompanied with active inclusion measures.

Housing related results

1. 20 Roma families and 4 youth exiting residential care selected for support.

2. 20 individual houses/apartments and 1 municipal apartment reconstructed, equipped and handed over.

Active inclusion related results

3. At least 60 Roma from 20 families supported through active inclusion measures (20 economically strengthened through VET and income generation program and an additional 40 through targeted Family Counselling and Inclusion Workshops).

4. At least 4 young people raised their employability and independent living skills through an apprenticeship and independent living support program.

Good governance related results

5. Improved local capacities for local housing and social policy.

6. The Action promoted through media, events and promotional materials.
