More about the project

Overall objective: To contribute to regional cooperation and improved safety for victims of domestic violence in 4 Western Balka countries.

Specific objective: 11 shelters in BiH, Kosovo, North Macedonia and Serbia offer better access and services to victims of domestic violence and develop cross-border links in this sector.

Planned measures:

  1.  Physical capacities: 11 shelters increase their technical and physical capacities for the provision of services to victims of domestic violence through renovation and donation of equipment.
  2. Staff capacities: Selected staff of 11 supported shelters as well as additional partner shelters increase their knowledge and skills to offer support to victims of domestic violence through certified trainings. 
  3. Regional cooperation and mutual learning: participating shelters in 4 Balkan countries are enabled to better understand the sector-specific challenges, use the opportunities for national and regional networking, share experience and knowledge and apply new methods and approaches for supporting victims of domestic violence.
