Ten beneficiaries in Leskovac receive vocational training certificates, strengthening their path towards employment
Another important step towards employment, self-employment and greater economic independence was marked in Leskovac, where ten beneficiaries successfully completed vocational training and received certificates as part of the project “Support to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) and Returnees in the Territory of the City of Leskovac.”
The vocational training programme was designed to provide participants with practical, market-oriented skills that can improve their employment prospects and create new opportunities for sustainable income generation.
Based on their interests and professional goals, participants completed training in three areas: Digital marketing, forklift operation and women’s hairdressing. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and practical learning, they acquired skills that can be directly applied in the labour market or used as a foundation for developing their own business activities.
Prior to participating in vocational training, all beneficiaries also successfully completed business training, aimed at strengthening their entrepreneurial knowledge and helping them better understand the key steps involved in starting and managing a small business. By combining business and vocational skills, the project provides participants with more comprehensive support and increases their opportunities for employment and self-employment.
The awarding of certificates represents more than the completion of a training programme. For the participants, it marks an important milestone on the path towards greater professional confidence, economic independence and long-term integration into the local labour market. Supporting internally displaced persons and returnees in developing relevant skills and accessing employment opportunities is an important part of creating conditions for sustainable social and economic inclusion. Through targeted training and capacity-building activities, the project seeks to respond to the individual needs of beneficiaries while also contributing to their long-term resilience and improved livelihoods.
