We are pleased to share uplifting news from Mostar, Bosnia and Herzegovina, where we have successfully completed the reconstruction of a shelter for victims of domestic violence.
The rehabilitation, led by ASB BiH team focused on enhancing the facility’s thermal efficiency by installing a new façade, ensuring warmth and comfort as winter approaches. We are glad we can offer an environment where all beneficiaries feel secure—protective bars on the windows have been upgraded to reinforce the safety of residents.
Additionally, the bathroom on the ground floor has been renovated to ensure accessibility for individuals with disabilities, and new flooring has been installed throughout the building.
This project was made possible through the financial contribution of €24,000 from ASB SEE, complemented by €5,000 from our valued partners, the Association Žena BiH. The involvement of local partners in this initiative underscores the significance of community engagement, which is vital to the long-term success of projects like this.
As you can see from the accompanying photos, the work completed is of exceptional quality, meeting the highest standards and exceeding expectations.
The project “United Against Domestic Violence in the Western Balkans – Regional Cooperation and Support to Shelters for Victims of Domestic Violence” supports 11 shelters for the victims of domestic violence in the West Balkan region.
