World Humanitarian Day 2021

2021-08-19

Today, once again, we are reminded of the efforts and sacrifice that humanitarian workers across the world are going through, while supporting different causes. Often putting their lives at risk, they stay dedicated to helping where help is needed, often being first ones to establish the support system in the area in crisis and the last ones to leave.

This year, the theme of the Humanitarian Day sheds the light on the climate crisis and its immediate human cost, in order to pressure world leaders to make meaningful actions and support the most vulnerable.

ASB will continue helping people, with people, embedding inclusion in every action we take. We strongly believe that empowered person will empower others, creating long lasting chain of change. If one individual wakes up feeling better each day, supported by the actions we took, the day is not lost in vain.

We are driven by the belief that every person deserves fair living conditions and every child safety and access to education. Acts of kindness and efforts connect to the ones made before, creating awareness around each cause and bringing hope that change is possible.

We help here and now, leaving no one behind.
