As part of the regional project implemented by ASB in 11 municipalities of the Western Balkans, and financed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Germany together with local self-governments, funds in the amount of 23,000 euros were donated to the shelter in Vranje. The City of Vranje contributed with additional 6,000 euros.
In August, work began on the reconstruction of the shelter for women victims of domestic violence, which includes a complete renovation of the bathroom and renovation of the floors and walls. In addition to construction works, as part of this donation, the shelter in Vranjska Banja is equipped with kitchen elements and appliences, as well as electronic equipment, all with the aim of improving the living conditions of the beneficiaries of these two institutions and the quality of services provided.
The project “United Against Domestic Violence in the Western Balkans – Regional Cooperation and Support to Shelters for Victims of Domestic Violence” supports 11 shelters for the victims of domestic violence in the West Balkan region. The project is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office @auswaertigesamt , implemented by ASB South East Europe @asb_see offices and co-funded by local government units in 11 project municipalities.
