The ASB chairman Knut Fleckenstein has been awarded the Order of Merit today, by Hamburg inn senator Andy Grote on behalf of the Federal President. Knut Fleckenstein is being honored for decades of exceptional and diverse volunteer commitment that extends far beyond the ASB.
Andy Grote said: “Knut Fleckenstein has been building bridges for decades. His outstanding commitment shows us impressively how a man can strengthen cohesion and humanity with his actions“.
During the honor at the Hamburg City Hall, the deputy chairman of ASB, Dr. Christine Theiss and ASB general manager Dr. Uwe Martin Fichtmüller were present. Dr. Christine Theiss said: “We congratulate Knut Fleckenstein on being awarded the Federal Merit Cross, and that his remarkable honorary commitment is recognized. This is the right award for an exceptional human being“.
