Female empowerment by education at any age
In Vranje, a Vocational-Educational Training is making a significant impact on the lives of women, especially those from the Roma community. We are bringing you a glimpse of the atmosphere from the training of choice of few women – a Manicure and Pedicure Specialist.
This project aims to provide women of all ages with valuable skills that empower them to secure employment and enhance their financial stability.
By mastering the art of manicure, these women are not only gaining a source of income but also boosting their self-esteem and confidence. And they will receive official certificate recognized by the state at the end of the 3-months training.
As they say, this call gives them the window towards the outside world, as they get to speak to the customers and develop friendly relationship with them. Also, stress that this job brings is “manageable”, so they return to their children and families in a good spirit and with the energy to go about their days after working hours.
This newfound independence not only supports these women but also strengthens their families and the entire community.
This initiative is a shining example of how education and skill-building can create brighter futures for women, breaking down barriers and fostering economic empowerment.
