Human Rights Caravan, Day 3

2024-04-26
Our Human Rights Caravan finished its journey and reached its destination. Our hosts today were dear people from the Day Care Center of the Association Zemlja djece (Land of Children), located in Kiseljak, near Tuzla, BiH.
The representatives of the Association work tirelessly to make sure that the rights of children are respected, with a focus on the Roma population. Their activities stretch from preventing human trafficking and forced child begging to providing education for their young beneficiaries.
The Day Care Center works with children of preschool and school age and their parents. It establishes cooperation with the schools that children attend and conducts activities on the empowerment and professional training of volunteers.
Passengers travelling with Caravan had the opportunity to visit the home of one of the families, beneficiaries of the Day Center. A family with eight children, living in a small, dilapidated house not meeting basic living conditions, welcomed us with an open heart and warm smile.
As we are heading back home full of impressions and positive words to spread, our hearts are filled with joy, knowing that we have made so many new friends, but also with gratitude for all the little things we already have and don’t appreciate enough.
We would like to thank our donors, partners, dear journalists for managing to capture at least a part of the atmosphere from our trip, our driver and everybody else who accompanied us on this unforgettable journey.
We are eager to hit the road again! Greetings to all until our next Caravan …
