Humble contribution of German ASB to the Kosovo struggle against COVID-19

2020-04-04

Due to the situation caused by the COVID-19, Arbeiter – Samariter – Bund eV (ASB) Head Office in Cologne – Germany through its own office in Kosovo allocated emergency funds as a first aid in order to support  the citizens in three different locations in Kosovo.

In order to protect or prevent the spread of Coronavirus, ASB in Kosovo delivered 4,000 hygienic masks; 40,000 protecting gloves and 245,500 ml disinfection liquids to Central Ambulances in Malisheva and Klina municipalities and Regional Waste Collection Enterprise “Eko-regjioni” – in Prizren municipality.

We hope that our modest donation will alleviate the great demand that municipalities face in these difficult days.

ASB staff thoughts are with all people in the World affected by Covid –19  virus and wish those infected a fast recovery.

We are sure that we will overcome this chalenge and are already planing on how to adress both health and economic recovery in post pandemic times.

In addition to supporting the efforts of Kosovo and its citizens to combat this global plague, the ASB is currently conducting similar activities in the Republic of Bosnia and Hercegovina and Serbia helping where it is most needed.

“We help here and now.”

Thank you for taking COVID-19 seriously. The sacrifices you’re making during this time are not in vain.

These are incredibly important as we are doing all we can, to slow the spread and flatten the curve of this pandemic.
