2024-07-17

During July, ASB SEE representatives from our main office in Bosnia and Herzegovina, had signed contracts for performing construction works in Bijeljina and Mostar.

It has been agreed to conduct activities on reconstruction of the shelter in Mostar which will include installment of new facade, construction of the new bathroom for people with disabilities, reconstruction of two existing restrooms, installment of the new floor in the living room, replacement of protective grills for windows and the reconstruction of the garden. In that respect, the contract was signed with the Bisina Company from Mostar, which will oversee carrying out the above works.

At the same time, upon signing the contact with the contractor PGP Graditelj from Bijeljina, ASB SEE started with the expansion of the existing building which will include the construction of the new kitchen, thus enabling the provision of even more improved services to victis of domestic violence.

The construction works on the facilities in both locations should be completed by the end of September, depending on the weather conditions.

The project “United Against Domestic Violence in the Western Balkans – Regional Cooperation and Support to Shelters for Victims of Domestic Violence” will support 11 shelters for the victims of domestic violence in the West Balkan region. The project is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office, implemented by ASB South East Europe offices and co-funded by local government units in 11 project municipalities.
