Financial support for 8 civil society organizations in BiH

2024-03-07

ASB SEE in cooperation with LIR CD is conducting activities within the Project on Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Initiative for Vulnerable Groups. The project has been launched in February 2023, and is fully funded by the European Union.

The main goal of the project is to protect, respect and fulfil the human rights of vulnerable groups, identify and fight discrimination in all its forms by supporting CSOs and governmental structures active in the human rights/democracy field.

In that respect, last week the representatives of LIR CD and ASB SEE signed the contracts on awarding 8 grants for the following IRIS Network members in BiH: Oaza from Trebinje, Tracak nade from Foca, Otaharin from Bijeljina, Zajedno from Banja Luka, Euro Rom from Tuzla, Sensus from Mostar, Sunce from Derventa and Zena BiH from Mostar.

The grants were awarded to the above civil society organizations, as financial support for implementing projects in duration of 6-8 months for development of services in their communities, based on human rights and advocating initiatives.

The project „Human Rights and Anti-Discrimination Initiative for Vulnerable Groups” is implemented by LIR Civil Society and ASB SEE, and it is funded by the European Union in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
