Happening now!!! Training for the employees of the 8 Shelters for victims of domestic violence in Kosovo.
The needs were identified during the Study Visit that happened in June and now we are acting on those needs, providing the support that was asked for.
These mission driven people working on the first line of the defense, with victims of domestic violence, have stated they need more knowledge and practical guidance on work with children who survived trauma and adolescents coming from domestic violence background. Needles to say, we believe these are the categories in greatest need of recovery and with the best possible chances of recovery success and living a healthy life later.
So, 3-day-training on “Identification of family violence and trauma in children and Adolescents and domestic violence” has started today, to the joy of all participants, ASB project team and the expert trainers.
The project “United Against Domestic Violence in the Western Balkans – Regional Cooperation and Support to Shelters for Victims of Domestic Violence” will support 11 shelters for the victims of domestic violence in the West Balkan region. The project is funded by the German Federal Foreign Office @auswaertigesamt implemented by ASB South East Europe offices and co-funded by local government units in 11 project municipalities.
