After delivery of 25 bunk beds (for 50 users) to the Civil Protection Staff of Konjic Municipality, the second phase of the ASB’s assistance against spreading corona virus was successfully implemented in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
70 isolation beds were handed over to the Acting Director of the Republic Civil Protection Administration of the Republika Srpska and Chief of the National Emergency Management Staff Milan Novitovic, in East Sarajevo. as he pinted out, the donation will be delivered to the municipalities of Dubica and Kostajnica, 20 beds each, and 30 beds will be donated to the City of Gradiška.

This is the second of a total of 3 donations, followed by the last one addressed to the West Herzegovina County Red Cross Office in Ljubuski for the purpose of forming isolation premises and care for the vulnerable and diseased citizens of the cities of Siroki Brijeg and Ljubuski, and the municipalities of Grude and Posusje, during the COVID-19 pandemic.
It is important to emphasize that the beds are of domestic production, directly produced, whose acquisition in the moments of the pandemic stimulated the domestic production of furniture and the partial employment of local labor.

In addition to supporting the efforts of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its citizens to combat this global plague, the ASB is currently conducting similar activities in the Republic of Serbia and Kosovo, helping where it is most needed.
