2020-04-16

After delivery of 25 bunk beds (for 50 users) to the Konjic Civil Protection Headquarters and 70 bunk beds in Republika Srpska for the municipalities of Dubica and Kostajnica, the third part of the emergency assistance of the Arbeiter – Samariter – Bund e.V (ASB) was successfully implemented.

In Ljubuski, a donation of 22 beds was received by Viktor Grbavac, President of the Red Cross of West Herzegovina County. The above donation of 22 beds was intended for the needs of the isolatories at the Ljubuški Sports Hall during the COVID-19 pandemic for the care of vulnerable and diseased citizens.

It is important to emphasize that the beds of domestic production, directly produced, whose acquisition in the moments of the pandemic stimulated the domestic production of furniture and the partial employment of local labor.

In addition to supporting the efforts of Bosnia and Herzegovina and its citizens to combat this global plague, the ASB is currently conducting similar activities in the Republic of Serbia and Kosovo, helping where it is most needed.

This ASB support in South East Europe is based on the Decision of the Arbeiter – Samariter – Bund eV (ASB) Head Office in Cologne – Germany on the allocation of emergency funds as a first aid in mitigating the causes and effects of the COVID-19 pandemic in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Serbia and Kosovo.
